LARGE RESTAURATION PERIOD GILT BRONZE CARCEL LAMP CONVERTED TO A TABLE LAMP
Mid 19th century carcel lamp converted to electricity. With a reeded central column decorated at the top and bottom with acanthus leaves, sitting upon a square plinth decorated with a laurel wreath and underneath a central plaque which reades:
'Place des Victoires No. 1, Gotten, Inventeur Bréveté'.
France, second quarter of the 19th century.
