EARLY 18TH CENTURY VERDURE TAPESTRY FRAGMENT, FLANDERS
With a large house in the background on the banks of a river in the middle ground on which two swans are swimming. On the right and left hand sides are richly coloured foliage. A bird sits on a branch of one of the trees.
Surrounded by a plain border in ochre .
Woven in wools and silk, Flanders cira 1730.
The tapestry is in very good condition with some old repairs, it has been backed around the edge. It is ready to be hung.
