FINE LATE 17TH CENTURY FLEMISH VERDURE TAPESTRY
Depicting ancient oak trees on the left behind a river bordered with reeds and flowers under the trees. In the background the bell tower of a church is visible from within distant hills and trees.
Centre right a pack of hounds are chasing a wild boar with a further large tree to the right. The whole framed by a rich floral border with a later outer brown and beige border.
Audenarde, Flanders circa 1670
The tapestry is exceptionally finely woven in wool and silk, is fully backed. It has been cleaned and restored.
