EARLY 18TH CENTURY AUBUSSON VERDURE TAPESTRY
With a crane and a heron to the centre, right and left, between them a body of water which runs under a rocky mound in the background,
with a temple on the summit.
To the right is a decorative pagoda, and the whole is decorated with stylised colourful trees and foliage.
Surrounded by a floral border decorated with flowers, fruit, leaves and foliate designs.
Woven in wool and silk, France circa 1730.
The tapestry is fully lined and is ready to hang.
