Pair of early 19th century candlesticks after a model by Claude Galle converted to table lamps.
The candle holders in gilt bronze decorated with pearls and crosses sitting on a downward tapering column in patinated bronze
divided in the centre with a gold band decorated with a circle of laurel leaves.
The whole sitting on a circular gilt bronze base with a webbed design and further leaf and berry decoration.
France c. 1810.
Converted to lamps with faux candles and electrified for the UK. Shown with 12" gathered silk coolie shades available separately.
The candlesticks have not been drilled.
