PAIR OF EARLY 19TH CENTURY BRONZE CARCEL LAMPS CONVERTED TO ELECTRICITY
With a central dark green painted column which sits on a gilt bronze incised ring over a square plinth above a stepped base with leaf and berry decoration.
The maker's label in gold reads “Carcel inventeur Breveté, rue de l'Arbre sec N18 A Paris”.
The painted finish in dark bronze green is later.
France, first quarter of the 19th century. Shown with 20” gathered silk shades available separately.
